Privacy Policy — RIG-PRO Scanner

RIG-PRO Scanner (“the app”) is a document and expense-receipt scanner for field teams. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you scan stays on your device. The app has no user accounts, no servers, and no analytics.
What the app stores, and where
All data is written to the app’s private storage area on your device:

If you enable the optional app lock, your PIN is stored only as a salted SHA-256 hash — the PIN itself is never saved.
No part of this data is uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes it.
Text recognition (OCR)
The app reads amounts and vendor names from receipt images using Google ML Kit’s on-device text recognition. The recognition model is bundled inside the app and runs entirely on your device. Receipt images are not sent to Google or to any other server for processing.
Camera and photos
Scanning uses the Android system document scanner, which runs in Google Play Services and returns images to the app. You may also import images you already have. Images are used only to create your documents and receipts.
Sharing and export
When you share or export a PDF, Excel, or CSV file, the app hands that file to whichever app you choose (email, messaging, cloud storage, printing). That transfer happens because you asked for it, and what happens to the file afterwards is governed by the app or service you chose.
Network access
The app declares the INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
permissions because the bundled Google ML Kit library requires them. The app
itself makes no network requests and sends no data off the device.
Data sharing and third parties
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. No data is sold or shared.
Children
The app is a workplace tool and is not directed at children.
Your control over your data
All data lives on your device. You can delete individual receipts and documents in the app, remove stored images via Settings, or uninstall the app to remove everything. The backup feature creates a file that you control and store wherever you choose.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change with it.
